Hwange National Park is the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe and is home to the famous big five. The game reserve lies within the Zambezi River basin and provides a magnificent view of the river which pleases the eye. The park is home to some of the most diverse birds in the world with over 420 recorded species found in the National Park , these numbers swell in the summer between November and April when the migratory species make their way south from the Europe to escape the northern hemisphere winters. Sight seeing includes having a peek of the rare white rhino and many other numerous endangered species including the African white dogs such as the “painted dogs”.
