Description
The Bunga Forest Botanical Reserve conserves mist-forest along the southern slopes of the Bvumba Mountains in the Eastern Highlands, Zimbabwe. It is the largest conserved area in the Bvumba highlands, and can be accessed from various points along the circuitous Burma Valley Road. The forest was logged for timber up to the mid 20th century.
The gardens have a variety of indigenous and exotic plants which include azaleas, fuchsias and hydrangeas in abundance. Bunga Forest woodland reserve has footpaths, natural streams, majestic views and various bird life. There are three places in or near the forest to have tea/coffee. Huge Eucalyptus tree forests blend in with the indigenous flora of the Bunga Forest Botanical Reserve.
